On the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, if you are sailing for 7 nights or longer, the VIP Character Breakfast is offered on sea days during your cruise. Tickets are required for the Disney VIP Character Breakfast and you can reserve tickets online within your advance booking window once your cruise is paid in full. I am afraid we have’t had this chance in several years and were excited to grab a seating on this cruise.
Several years ago, we remember it being an “event”, with singing and dancing- similar to when you go to character meals in Walt Disney World. Even napkin hats from your servers to keep it festive.
We should have gotten tipped off this would be very different when we secured our seating, as it is only 45 minutes long.
Our tickets were waiting for us in our stateroom when we boarded, this very special breakfast would be held on our first sea day inside Animator’s Palate.
Once seated, the menu is super cute
and the room is illuminated with character pictures and Mickey Mouse shorts playing on the screens.
Everything was very quick- bread service was quickly followed after our orders being taken and our entrees were at our table before any characters were.
We were quickly visited by Goofy, Minnie Mouse, and Mickey Mouse.
Honestly, everything seemed super rushed and the food was sub-par. This was very different than what we remembered, and we won’t be looking to experience this again. It’s definitely a great time saver as you won’t have to wait on line to see these characters later during you cruise vacation- but this is the Disney Magic- the ship is smaller and the lines aren’t that long. For us, as our kids are now older- we will save the space for younger families to enjoy.
