Most of you have probably heard about the J.D. Powers customer satisfaction survey. Car dealers use it consistently throughout the industry. Up until now, though, J.D. Power has not delved into the cruise industry. But, that has now changed.
For the first time J.D. Power has conducted a Cruise Line Satisfaction ReportSM that they released the end of June. This first report measured cruise line customer satisfaction based on seven key factors (in order of importance): service; stateroom; food; embark/debark; entertainment; cost; and excursions.
And, not surprisingly to us, Disney Cruise Line® comes out on top. Out of 1000 points possible, It ranked the highest in customer satisfaction with a score of 871. J.D. Power reported that this was significantly higher that the report average of 824.
The 2013 Cruise Line Satisfaction Report is based on responses from 3,003 customers who traveled on a cruise line in the past 12 months.
