A Last Minute Summer Sojourn in WDW, A Trip Report- A Magical Morning

I was up early on our first morning- the forum’s registration desk opened at 8am and I wanted to register ASAP as not to have to worry about it later that day. The kids were super curious where I would be spending my time away from them, so we were all up and ready to go just before 8am!

With registration packet in hand, we decided to grab a quick breakfast at Gasparilla’s before heading to the parks (after stopping back in Boca Chica to drop off my packet, of course).

We hopped on the monorail and headed straight to the Magic Kingdom- it was super hot and humid, but not as crowded as we expected. The Magic Kingdom is already decorated for Halloween, as the very first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is just days away.

We headed straight for Space Mountain (lowest wait time, believe it or not)…

Big Thunder Mountain…

and then stopped for a very well deserved Dole Whip- as we were melting!

We decided it was approaching noon and we needed some pool time back at the Grand.

We headed right down Main Street USA for a quick family picture and hopped on the next boat back to The Grand for some well earned rest and relaxation.
