A Last Minute Summer Sojourn in WDW, A Trip Report- A Rainy Day in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Once we were changed after our amazing brunch, we headed over to the bus stop, just outside the Main Building of The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. We were delighted to meet Richard Gerth, a Disney Legacy Award winner who (at turns 92 years old this year) greets thousands of guests each year at The Grand.

We headed straight for Star Tours, for our first Fast Pass (full disclosure- I sat this one out). From there we decided to go and meet Mickey and Minnie at Red Carpet Dreams. While waiting, Goofy came out and he absolutely LOVED our kids and they him…

It was AWESOME. I am telling you this Sunday is turning out  to be a pretty magical day!

From here, we paid our respects at the former Great Movie Ride…

Then it was time for more Fast Passes- first up Tower of Terror, Mike and Katie (Jacqueline & Mikey sat this one out)  didn’t tell me they were posing… can you tell?

Mike and Katie then rode again while the rest of us indulged a bit…

We then decided to wait for Toy Story Mania- not terrible with a 40 minute wait… but Mommy lost this round as it went to Katie, our middle child!

Now it was time to head on over to Animation Courtyard and into Star Wars Launch Bay for a very special event…
