We decided the quickest way to get toe Disney Springs was via Lyft- we were quite hungry and really looking forward to trying D-Luxe. So, off we went and pulled up around 3:45pm.
We took the long stroll over to the Town Center section, passing The Lego Store which is always really neat.
Once we got o D-Luxe, we saw the line forming outside the door. We headed in, through another door, sat down, and ordered via Mobile Order inside our My Disney Experience App. Once our order was complete- we checked in (separate line) and were given a pager and within 10 minutes our food was delivered to our table! The portions are HUGE and delicious!
Next up? We strolled over to the Christmas Tree Trail- 22 holiday trees—each inspired by a Disney character or theme.
After our stroll, Mike and Mikey headed to The Void. They had reservations and were taken right in. Their experience was Star Wars themed (of course!) where they interacted with popular Star Wars characters and each other in a virtual environment that combines groundbreaking technology—and the magic of illusion- surrounded by 3D imagery and sound in an immersive story by ILMxLAB . They LOVED it!
While they were battling, Katie and I did some shopping- and found ourselves inside Amorette’s.
We walked out with 2 small cakes/pastries but were so full we couldn’t eat them. Good thing our room has a fridge!
We were back, at “home”, at little after 8pm. Disney Springs was getting really crowded (2 weekends before Christmas, was to be expected) and we were hoping to be settled in our room just in time to watch the fireworks from our balcony…
Then it was time for bed. We had a very early wake up call the next morning…
