Well, I predicted it– a change in our plans.
Nothing crazy- we have now added at Walt Disney World Summer vacation to our calendar, changing this trip up ever so slightly. I know, tough life to lead…
So now we are arriving much later in the afternoon that same arrival day, actually landing in Orlando International Airport at 3:30pm. Upon arrival, we should be able to check right into our room inside the Grand Floridian’s Royal Palm Club and relax a bit in their lounge. We will probably indulge a bit there before heading to the Magic Kingdom for the evening. We have reservations for the Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party at 7:45pm and the park is scheduled to close at 9pm after the fireworks. The Electrical Water Pageant is also scheduled to pass by the Magic Kingdom at 10:35pm that evening, maybe we will catch a bit of that as we take the boat back “home” to The Grand Floridian for the evening.
The next day, our plan is to still head into Pandora with Tricia and her family. Hopefully we can visit Pandora after breakfast, before lunch so we can head back to our hotels for a break- we need to rest up as that night we are attending the very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. We can enter the parks as early as 4pm and the party ends at midnight. I have also secured a dinner reservation for our family at Be Our Guest and have asked my family to be great sports and pose for a few pictures with Santa during the party as well.
The next day we board the Disney Dream for 3 nights for their very first MerryTime Cruise of the season. That evening at 5pm we have reserved Evolution Lounge for an exclusive Castle Dreams Travel cocktail party which will give us an opportunity to touch base with our agents and guests sailing with us as well as give out a few goodies too. The next day we are in port at Nassau in the Bahamas. Our family will likely stay onboard as Mike & I are hoping to attend brunch inside Palo, one of our favorites. On Sunday, the 5 of us will likely participate in the Castaway Cay 5K and then enjoy the rest of the day on the beach. We disembark the next day as our flight is just after 3pm.
OK, so not that big of a change- just glad not to have such an early flight arriving to Orlando now. Hopefully plans will stick, we will be able to secure Flight of Passage Fast Passes for our families easily (we weren’t able to for our trip next month as we didn’t book the trip until we were nearly 40 days prior to arrival), and it will be smooth sailing for the rest of the trip. Just making that small change in arrival already makes it feel a bit more relaxed for me somehow…
