A Very MerryTime Vacation, A Family Trip Report- Our Deluxe Ocean View Staterooms with Verandahs

We splurged a bot this trip and instead of 1 room we spread out across two category 5D staterooms, aka Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms with Verandahs.

Our rooms were on deck six, starboard side. Each stateroom is 246 square feet including the verandah and split bathrooms. Our staterooms connected via doors inside the rooms as well as the balcony doors opening between the staterooms. As a surprise, I had ordered two different holiday stateroom decorations for our family.

The stateroom I shared with Mike had the Seasons Dreams Package, which sold out pretty quickly. In hindsight, I almost wish I ordered more of these- we fight over the blanket that came with it as it is so soft!

Each stateroom also received the new Castaway Club (frequent cruiser club) gift of a sling backpack and 2 luggage tags.

The kids room was a bit more fun!

I added a stocking as when you have three kids- you need to cover all of your bases 😉IMG_3492

We also had champagne and fresh fruit delivered to the room as well.

After the safety drill, we skipped the Sail Away Party to get ready for Castle Dreams Travel’s Welcome Reception that was going to start at 5pm, then we would head straight to dinner from there inside Enchanted Garden, then Beauty and the Beast later after dinner. We were so excited to get this magical evening started…
