To be able to finally say we are taking this trip NEXT MONTH… is an AWESOME feeling!
I think we have pretty much all of our plans in place now, which is really exciting.
We arrive on Wednesday and my family checks into the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa’s Royal Palm Club. We plan on laying low and enjoying the resort, but will head over to Magic Kingdom in the early evening for our reservation for the Happily Ever After Dessert Party that night.
The next morning, after breakfast inside The Royal Palm Club, we are headed to meet Tricia and her family and our VIP guide for the day! We are planning to go to Animal Kingdom first, then Hollywood Studios, and end in Epcot. While I have some idea what to expect- I am also expecting to be fully surprised as well. This way our families are able to maximize our time in the parks, without the stress of transportation, Fast Pass selections, etc as our VIP guide handles it all! Tricia and I had been discussing how both of our family’s summer trips were great, just a whirlwind and neither of us got to do as much as we would have liked to, attraction wise. By splitting the cost between two families (the VIP guide cost is the same for up to 10 guests on tour for the day) made this option ideal as we can now sit back and relax leading up to the trip as well as during our park time. Our guide will act as an unlimited “Fast Pass” for us and will transport our families, via private vehicle, backstage within the parks and between the parks as well.
We end in the late afternoon when our family will head back to The Grand to freshen up a bit and head to the Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner. After dinner, we will head to Magic Kingdom for the very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party where we will meet many more friends to enjoy the night together.
The next day, we head to Port Canaveral to board the very first Merrytime sailing onboard the Disney Dream! We have 2 category 5D staterooms (Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah) reserved for our family, which will give us more than enough space for 3 nights. We are so excited to see Beauty and the Beast in addition to the Princess Meet and Greets the girls have secured tickets for as well (they will never be too old for this, which I love!). On our last full cruise day, we will be in port at Castaway Cay– where we have the Grand Family Cabana booked with quite a few friends onboard as well.
So excited and cannot wait to finally get this vacation started!
