Adventuring to Disneyland in 2016: Day 2 , part 3

After Griffith’s Park, we expected to be “free” for the rest of the day. However, Lo and Michael gave us the option to join them at Ghirardelli for some ice cream AND receive VIP tickets to the El Capitan Theater for a showing of Pete’s Dragon (it had just opened the Friday prior). Having no plans for the evening (and the War Dogs premiere happening just down the block from our hotel), we all decided this was an awesome way to spend our last night in Hollywood!

We had some time to retreat to our hotel rooms and rest a bit- Ghirardelli was just across the street, so we were able to linger a bit and go star watching as we made our way there…

Then it was time for some pretty incredible ice cream!

Our sundaes were delicious! Who doesn’t want ice cream for dinner while on vacation? Next up was Pete’s Dragon in an authentic movie “palace”!

Inside the theater is simply stunning- very much like inside a Broadway Theater.IMG_1740 IMG_1742

There was also a display of the ‘Dragons of Disney” inside the theater that we checked out as well:

It was a great movie, if you haven’t seen it already, we all highly recommend it!
