Today was the day- a full day in Disneyland!
We needed to meet the group at 7:30am at the vase in the lobby of our resort, The Grand Californian Resort and Spa. Once we were all together, we headed over to the park- a full hour before the general public.
Once in side the gates, we took pictures by the train station…
Then it was time to head to Main Street USA…
This was just so serene to me… I lingered back quite a bit, trying to take it all in. It was so peaceful…
Then we approached Sleeping Beauty’s Castle…
Lo and Michael asked us to wear our most dazzling blue… made for a really great family picture…
and some fun ones too!
Then it was time for Breakfast at the Plaza!
Breakfast was a delicious buffet with quite a few options…
As far as characters- there a quite a few- Minnie hosts it but we were visited by quite an assortment of different characters we had never experienced in Walt Disney World.
And then this just made my vacation…
After catching my breath…we waited outside for everyone to assemble (the park was now open) and then we were split into our groups again- we were headed towards King Arthur Carrousel. Mikey was Lo’s assistant and was given the Paddle of Power for our walk…
Mikey was not quick about giving up any of his new found “power” even on the carrousel!
I even found MY favorite horse!
The kids tried to free the sword from the stone…
Then we were off to the Matterhorn Bobsleds!
Our next stop was over to The Indiana Jones Adventure for a special, backstage look at this amazing attraction. Again, no pictures backstage- but I can assure this “Disney Difference” impressed everyone in our group- we even got the opportunity to check out a vehicle and make it move in all sorts of different directions! Then we got to ride this attraction (the first of many- this was a huge hit for our family!)- through the exit, attracting the attention of guests exiting the attraction, warning all of us we were going the wrong way. 😉
After that, we boarded the Congo Queen inside the Jungle Cruise attraction…one of Walt Disney’s favorites.
After our cruise, we were split back onto our groups again … our group headed on the Pirates of the Caribbean and then somewhere very special…
Our visit was simply amazing and magical… I promise to tell you all  about it “real soon”!
