All We Know About The NEW A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and Other Changes Coming This Year

Debuting July 15 and continue through the fall, the NEW A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be offering over 20 signature global marketplaces like Hawaii, Hops & Barley, and Islands of the Caribbean, spaced out around the park. And, if you’ve ever imagined a world where the floral fun of Flower & Garden is sprinkled in with the global goodies of Food & Wine, here’s your chance – guests will be able to see the newest topiary, Remy, in the France pavilion and find Flower & Garden merchandise. For scavenger hunt fans, Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt returns. Food & Wine merchandise will also be available after the festival begins.

OK, I am super EXCITED about this- we were scheduled to enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival in May, and obviously could not. When we head down later this summer- we will still get to see some of what we missed and get a taste of the Food and Wine Festival as well. Pretty great lemonade made out of lemons 🙂

Local EPCOT entertainment such as Mariachi Cobre and the JAMMitors will spread out their performances throughout the day, giving audiences more options to enjoy them. That said, the “Eat to the Beat Concert Series” has been cancelled this year.

Also cancelled? Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, was determined that many of its hallmarks – stage shows, parades and fireworks – are unable to take place in this new, unprecedented environment and the event needed to be cancelled. Disney H2O Glow Nights, the nighttime special ticket event at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, has all been cancelled for the rest of the year.  No decision has been made as far as celebrating the holidays in Walt Disney World later this year- but as soon as we know something- we will absolutely let you know!
