Awaken Summer Preview Event, Day 2 – part 1

I was up and out by 7:45am- headed, again, to meet my colleagues for our trip to Epcot. We had an exclusive breakfast with Sharon Siskie (Senior Vice President, Sales at Disney Destinations), Lynn Clark (Vice President, International Travel Industry and Southern California Tourist Sales at Disney Parks & Resorts) and Cal Almaguer (Vice President, Domestic Travel Industry and Central Florida Tourist Sales at Disney Parks & Resorts) scheduled as well as a product update.

Breakfast at Walt Disney World, is always special…

Our breakfast presentation was ready, and as always, professionally magical!

We were given a few updates with all of the Disney Destinations, which was great and were even treated to the same presentation I saw two weeks prior in NYC.

We then had a little over an hour to explore Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival. One of the best things about being included in Disney EarMarked Travel Advisory Council (made of 20 travel agency owners and managers who are appointed by Disney leadership to represent the diversity of agencies in Disney EarMarked Program) is being able to meet some of the most amazing travel professionals and learning from them. I have met quite a collection of spectacular travel planners and agency owners that have taught me far more than I could have ever imagined- that in turn has helped all of us advance our personal businesses as well as benefit the Walt Disney Travel Company. Get to spend some “down time”  with them exploring World Showcase was a real treat!

Then it was time to board the buses again and head off to lunch and a presentation to learn beyond the Disney theme parks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

During this luncheon, it was announced the additional of Rhine River Cruises to the Adventure by Disney schedule in 2017. There will also be a Shanghai vacation- with a promise for more information to come.

After lunch a few of us went to blow off some steam as we had a little time to kill before our nighttime activities- as only you can in Walt Disney World- can you guess where we went?
