Did you know… You can “Pick a Pearl” during your next Walt Disney World vacation?

Have you visited the Japanese pavilion in Epcot for the “pick a pearl” souvenir?  You can also pick a pearl in Disney Springs near the Pin Traders outpost, at Typhoon Lagoon, and on the path outside the Stormalong Bay pool area in the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. A Castle Dreams Travel Planner just visited this week and report the cost is now $15.95 per “pick”.  You choose your oyster from a tank and it is opened in front of you to reveal which color, size, and up to 2 pearls are inside.

They also sell setting for your pearls at an additional cost. You have to return to pick it up as they will not send that type of item to your Walt Disney World Resort like other packages.

The most cost effective one you can purchase is a charm dangle for electronics. This option runs about $12:

1

There are many you can choose from that are stunning and a great remembrance of your vacation. These settings are all available at Walt Disney World and you can also see there are rare silver pearls that can be found (inside the dolphin setting).
2

You can also take the pearls with you (they will bag the pearls for you and mark your bag with the date and size of your pearl or pearls) and purchase a setting from home or on Amazon- which might be the most cost effective option if you trust yourself to set your pearl.
