Discovering the Magic with Disney Destinations Roadshow 2019

Spring has sprung! And with it brings the perfect time to start planning your summer vacations.  The Walt Disney Travel Company has been hosting events all over the USA for travel professionals showing them why now more than ever is the perfect time to take that Disney Destination vacation.

Last month, I was fortunate enough to attend the event held in NYC’s Edison Ballroom. The event started with a trade show with lots of photo opportunities and featured a 3 course meal and lots of neat details on what is in store for Disney Destination guests this summer.

The decor and food were all outstanding!

After dinner, the presentation started with introductions from “Shawn Matthews & Sharon Tipps”. Claire Bilby (Senior Vice President, Sales, Services and Events, Disney Destinations) joined them on stage as well.

We started with Disney Cruise Line…

This summer, there is still time to plan an epic cruise to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Alaska and even Europe:

In 2020, DCL is adding new ports of call as well as cruising from New Orleans with themed Star Wars and Marvel Days at Sea cruises too!

The biggest tip- reserve EARLY- cruses are available through the summer of 2020- which is where you will find your best pricing, as the ships fill, the prices rise.

Moving onto Adventures by Disney…

This summer, the Seine River cruise debuts…

Next summer, there are far more adult exclusive dates offered to meet the increased demand!

There will also be added experiences in Paris, Amsterdam, and Budapest.

If you ever have the chance to Adventure with Disney- I HIGHLY recommend it- no matter where the adventure takes you!

Next up was Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa…

It’s hard to believe it has already been 7 years since Aulani welcomed it’s first guests!

Their hugely popular luau, Ka Wa’a, has now been offered for 2 years now and is a wonderful addition to your next trip-

The “Get Your Ears on Celebration” at Disneyland®Resort is now in full swing with all sort of fun included PLUS World of Color is returning an the new Inside out Emotional Whirlwind is coming.

The most anticipated news came from a few new sneak peaks at Galaxy’s Edge opening inside both Disneyland And Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. We were given exclusive sneak peaks I cannot share with you yet. But what I can tell you… it looks amazing!

We were also reminded why  “Now More Than Ever” is the best time to visit Walt Disney World® Resort…

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary this May. Lightening McQueen’s Racing Academy just started welcoming guests, just behind Rock N Rollercoaster where you can even meet Cruz Ramirez after the show!

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will also open later this year inside the epic Chinese Theater where guests will be dropped inside a brand new Mickey Mouse short cartoon.

Over at Animal Kingdom Theme park, on Memorial Day Weekend the Tree of Life will get a new Lion King overlay for it’s Awakening each night.

Don’t forget this is also your last chance to see Epcot’s Illuminations, as it is retiring at the end of the summer season.

The NEW Skyliner has begun testing as well connecting Hollywood Studios and Epcot to Disney Art of Animation, Pop century, Caribbean Beach, and Rivera Resorts-

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is also getting an additional 500+ guests rooms when the new Gran Destino Tower opens this July…

In Disney Springs, the new NBA Experience will welcome its first guests this August…

Disney’s H2O Glow Nights are also returning this summer to Typhoon Lagoon select nights May 30th- August 24th with tickets starting at about $60 per person.

WOW! I hadn’t realized all of the new happening all across Disney Destinations and I cannot wait for our various vacations this year to see as much of it all as we can! Where are you headed? Contact Castle Dreams Travel ASAP to start planning!
