After our time in Laniwai, Mike and I met up with everyone at our usual spot for this vacation, Off The Hook. Off the Hook is an open-air, poolside bar/restaurant that if you use your imagination, resembles a fisherman’s seaside shack. You can order any kind of drink you can imagine & it can be served in a pineapple if you choose. You can also order from a poolside menu an assortment of appetizers and entrees. Service was always good & with a smile, which was why we seemed to always end up here at some point during the day during our stay.
While Mike and I were in the spa, the kids tried the Menehune Adventure Trail. This high tech scavenger hunt around the resort was a huge hit with them!
We all decided over drinks at Off The Hook to give the dinner buffet at Makahiki a try after our pool and beach time for the day was done. And we were so glad we did…
Dinner was outstanding! There was a nice variety of food for everyone that everyone really enjoyed. I had actually regretted not trying this earlier in the trip! We all would highly recommend both breakfast and dinner buffets during your stay in Oahu- you will not be disappointed.
