Dreaming of Italy with Adventures by Disney- Day 5

Today was the day I had been looking the most forward to, truth be told. Yes, everything we had seen in Rome was amazing and Florence was to be spectacular as well- but on my bucket list was to go to Italy and take a cooking class & visit a vineyard- and today I was checking both off my list!

We woke up pretty typically, Mike was able to go down and retrieve a pot of coffee while I was getting ready to enjoy on our balcony, which he loved (I am not a coffee drinker). When we were both ready, we headed down to breakfast (always included on this tour) before heading to Fattoria Poggio Alloro.

Upon arrival, all of the adventurers seemed to be excited and looking forward to this day. It was to be a full day, but much more relaxed than our days in Rome, thank goodness. We were immediately greeted by Sarah Fioroni, who already had goody bags for us with an apron (which would certainly come in handy) inside.

After a few introductions and directions, we were invited inside for class… it was everything I had dreamed it would look like, simple perfection.

Sarah started the class, and then left us to make our own pasta creations!

After class, we strolled down to the vineyards and winery, passing an olive orchard…

Today we were in luck- family members were actually bottling the wine TODAY!

After we met some of the family and learned about their bottling process, we toured the rest of their facility.

After the winery tour, we went to visit their cows. This is a fully functional, working farm- and these cows are GORGEOUS!

Next was our wine tasting. Junior Adventurers (and any adventurers who chose to) are invited to an olive oil flavoring class instead…

I just could not get over the view we were treated to, and the wine was fabulous too!

The wine tasting rolled into lunch (included) when our fellow olive oil adventurers joined us.

Lunch was AMAZING. Everything about Fattoria Poggio Alloro was amazing- it was my dream come true of this adventure, and it could not have been more perfect!

After returning back from our amazing day, a few of us took advantage of the amazing pool at our hotel before having to get ready for dinner.

Dinner tonight was an adventure all of its own. The day was already so perfect, how could Adventures by Disney top it off? With an included, Medieval-themed banquet set in a 15th-century manor, with views that rivaled those we were treated earlier…

Legend has it, Leonardo da Vinci stayed here and met the woman who was the inspiration of the infamous, Mona Lisa.

Dinner was served outside and it was, again, spectacular!

We were also served the most magnificent Tuscan Sunset!

Once the sun set, the party began!

None of us were ready to say goodnight, but somehow we knew we needed too. This, for me, was by the the most magical of our Italian Adventure and I will always treasure this day.
