Every Dream is a Fantasy: A trip report, the planning stages, part 2

Well, here we are- less than 100 days until we leave for an 8 night Disney vacation.

We are still planning on just spending the day at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort our first day of vacation. We have a breakfast reservation upon our arrival and we are really looking forward to the new Trader Sam’s ( https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/polynesian-resort/trader-sams-grog-grotto/ ) and Pineapple Lanai (  https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/polynesian-resort/pineapple-lanai/ ). We are planning a quick dinner at Capt Cooks as well as breakfast the next day before we are picked up to head to the port ( https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/polynesian-resort/capt-cooks/ ). At 9pm, The Electrical Water Pageant passes by the Poly, and we are looking forward to seeing that as well.

We are all paid off now for our cruise, and as Gold Level Castaway Club members we can start booking our activities on board the ship. We were able to secure:

Day 1- Embarkation

Day 2- Sea Day

Day 3- Cozumel

An Excursion on our first port day:

Day 4- Grand Cayman

We haven’t formally planned anything, but we might try to head here if the weather permits: https://www.turtle.ky/tours-description

Mike and I have a dinner date at, the adults only, Palo at 6pm.

Day 5- Jamaica
Look into day passes at Beaches, they have 2 resorts:

Tonight is Pirate Night on board and I was able to reserve all 3 kids in the Pirates League to get them ready! We have main dining, so their appointments (First Mate Package for Mikey and Empress Packages for the girls) are at  4:30 so they are ready for dinner at 5:30pm.

Day 6- Sea Day
Mike & I have a brunch reservation at Palo at 10am, where we might meet friends who are cruising with us there as well.

Day 7- Castaway Cay
We were hoping for a Cabana, but all 21 on the family beach were sold out on the day we were able to book our excursions. So, we opted for the Castaway Cay Getaway Package.  This package includes snorkel equipment for the day, a float or tube rental for the day, and a bicycle rental for one hour.

Day 8- Disembarkation Day

Our plans have changed a bit since we started planning, which always seems to happen- based on what is available and what are interests are. to be perfectly honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if they change again before we leave. 😉 Stay tuned!
