Every Dream Is A Fantasy, Day 3

Sunday morning started pretty early for us in our 5e Aft rooms on deck 10…

Cabanas (buffet restaurant) is directly above our rooms- chairs start dragging across the floor at around 7am.  It didn’t bother me too much because we were able to see the most beautiful sunrise on our sea day…

The next hour or so, we were pretty lazy. By 9am the kids and I went up to Cabanas for a quick breakfast (mine was a very light one as we had Palo reservations that morning at 11am) and then the kids went to the pool together with the Belfonti girls and our friends’ son from California.

This worked our beautifully as I wanted to attend the special reception in The Tube for Gold (more than 5 DCL cruises) and Platinum (more than 10 DCL cruises) Castaway Club members. At the reception there are passed appetizers and drinks plus a meet and greet with Minnie Mouse. Captain Thord was also there and he spoke a bit about the different ports DCL is looking forward to as well as the specialty sailings and ship upgrades.

From here I met Mike, the Belonti’s, and the Riddles for brunch inside Palo. As usual, it was magnificent!

We were even able to celebrate Juanita’s’s birthday!

My absolute favorite was the chicken parmigiana- I could not recommend this more. The entire meal was exquisite, and our server, Pamela, cold not have been any more helpful and gracious.

After brunch, we checked in with the kids then relaxed a bit on our balcony before getting ready for the night.

Before dinner, we had signed up for a mixology class in Skyline- which was amazing! There we met the Riddles again, the Rowland’s (Mike’s cousin who was also sailing with us), and Tricia to learn how to make 5 different, delicious cocktails.

After dinner we headed to tonight’s show, Aladdin.

After the show, I was exhausted. I went back to our staterooms with Mikey and my Mom and changed, tucked Mikey in and relaxed a bit. By 10:30, Mike and I decided to head down to Europa to see Ventriliquist, Lynn Trefzger. She was hysterical and I am so glad we were able to find a table in Meridian to watch her on their screens, sipping a glass of Pinot Grigio with my husband.  When her show was over, Mike and I strolled the decks a bit before heading back to our staterooms. It was a great way to end the night.
