We completed our day with a VIP experience today that began with 2 hours with a VIP guide in Magic Kingdom.
We were taken via private van, driven by our guide, to an alternate entrance in the Magic Kingdom. Before entering the park, we were offered water and snacks. A member of our group’s phone had broken and she was in desperate need of a camera. Our guide, Christopher, arranged for a merchandise Cast Member to meet us, chat about the type of camera that was needed and while we were on line for our first attraction, even sent pictures of the types of cameras that fit the description. By the time we exited the ride, the Cast Member was there with the camera in hand! What a fantastic Disney difference!
Now… back to our tour…
We entered the park, via a “back door” in Tomorrowland. We headed straight for Space Mountain, took a quick picture and entered the attraction through the Fast Pass line. So, debunking the myth that VIP guides give you front of the line access- no, but they do have unlimited Fast Passes for their guests.
We then took the quick walk over to The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train…
Peter Pan’s Flight…
The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History…
a quick ride on Pirates of the Caribbean and then some Dole Whip!
Then we reached the hub and just gasped at all of the beautiful holiday decorations all around the Hub and down Main Street USA… keep in mind, this is November 3rd!
We were now ending our tour (two hours FLY, especially when you are having fun!) and decided to do a little shopping before we were to exit through another “back door” on Main Street USA. Two of us were looking for Mickey Mac & Cheese and weren’t having any luck. I happened to catch Christopher pick up a phone and ask where we might be able to find it and minutes later we were on our way with our purchases.
The second part of our VIP experience was a sneak peek of what to expect when Pandora- The World of Avatar opens in Animal Kingdom next Summer. Now that some of the pictures have been officially released, I can share them here with you!
It really looks incredible. I will admit to not being overly excited about this project, but after seeing the pictures and model of what is to come- I am fully onboard and cannot wait to experience it first hand!
Next it was dinner time, and a very special dinner at Tiffins, a new signature dining option inside Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This was another location I wasn’t very excited about, but the menu and food blew me away- by far one of the best meals I have ever had in Walt Disney World- and certainly in one of the theme parks! I cannot recommend Tiffins enough!
After dinner we took the quick walk to the Tree of Life and watched it come alive…
This was just an amazing cherry on top of our day, and experience as a member of the EarMarked Travel Advisory Council. This was all part of my last official on-site meeting, which was such valuable experience. I am so grateful for every opportunity and experience- but especially being able to come together with professionals who are nothing short of kind, generous, passionate, and brilliant. I am indebted to all of them for making this experience, for lack of a better word, priceless.
