We have done a bit more digging into the Memory Maker promo that we have discussed earlier:
https://whatsupwiththemouse.com/free-memory-maker-added-to-a-3-night-packages-at-walt-disney-world/
There also appears to be a room discount associated with this promotion as well, which makes this a very good deal! For example, Castle Dreams Travel has a family (2 parents and 1 child) who was staying for a week at the Polynesian Resort in a standard view room at the end of August, with 7 day base tickets and the dining plan. With this promotion, they are only paying $136.18 more and are upgrading to a room with a Magic Kingdom view PLUS receiving the Memory Maker!
Now, during the time from of this promotion, historically Disney releases a free dining plan promotion:

This new promotion might be your best deal for travel during that time frame .There is never any guarantee of any discounts- historical or not. The past few years, Disney has been shortening the time for the free dining promotion and blacking out certain resort categories and entire resorts all together. This new promotion is applicable to family suites at Art of Animation and upgraded concierge rooms that are generally excluded from discounts.
Something to also consider, we are now approaching the magical 180 day before arrival mark for the dates involved with this promotion. At 180 days before you arrive, you can start making dining reservations and secure the hardest to get dining locations like Be Our Guest, Chef Mickey’s, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and Le Cellier. Once you are much further past that mark-these 4 restaurants are difficult to secure a reservation at, if not impossible.
If you reserve your vacation of 5 nights or longer by the end of this month, you also receive a $50 gift card from Castle Dreams Travel which will also monitor your reservation for the best applicable discounts as they become available. If you know you want to travel mid-August through September my suggestion would be to book with a travel agent who specializes in Disney Destinations and make sure that they will monitor your reservation for any further discount promotions that may or may not be released.
