Waking up on Saturday was bittersweet. Our stay in Walt Disney World was over, but after we checked out today we were heading on a 7 night cruise on the Disney Fantasy!
I was up early and anxious, so I took a stroll around this gorgeous resort- which, I love. This is our third time here and it really does feel like home. Once you walk into the 8 story lobby atrium you feel the enormousness of the resort, but it also feels cozy at the same time. It is calming and soothing- very dark tones used to decorate the entire resort. There is always some sort of quiet music playing in the background, but nothing you could get up and dance to, if you know what I mean. 😉 There is even a calming “smell”- call me crazy but there is one! And those of you who have smelt it, know what I mean. The resort isn’t huge (the resort itself is only 1 building- the villas section is a separate area), so east to find things and get to places within the resort. We really truly love it here- the only downside is that their standard rooms only hold 4- and we are a family of 5 now. In addition the transportation was a big issue here this stay, which I don’t recall being an issue in our previous trips. So, this might be the last time we stay here unless we spring for a deluxe room, suite, or a 2 bedroom villa. It is such a beautiful resort, a true hidden gem in Walt Disney World.
These are pictures of our standard room from our previous stay…
We had decided the night before we would use a counter service credit for breakfast this morning. The guys were way too tired to get up out of bed so I headed down to Roaring Forks with Mom and the girls and I would bring our breakfast back to the room- which is no easy feat- but I managed. We met my Father-in-Law at Roaring Forks who had the same idea, except he ate his there and was bringing my Mother-in-Law’s back to their studio with him. Breakfast was good! All of the kids had Mickey waffles and Mike and I had Bacon, Egg and Cheese Croissant Sandwich (which I thought would be easier to manage bringing back to the room).
Once back to the room, Mike was showering and Mikey was beginning to move, he was excited to see his Mickey waffles. We all continued to get ready as we ate, we were checking out by 10am to start out to Port Canaveral for our week long Disney cruise!
