Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, What We Know

We have been busy learning all we can about the new Galaxy’s Edge is opening earlier than expected in Walt Disney World this August and May 31st in Disneyland!


This is what we know about the Disneyland Park location:

To visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park between May 31 and June 23, Guests will need valid theme park admission and will be required to make a no-cost reservation, subject to availability, to access the land.

Guests staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels during these dates will receive a designated reservation to access Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during their stay (one reservation per registered guest); valid theme park admission is required. The land will not be included in Extra Magic Hour or Magic Morning at Disneyland Park. Disney FASTPASS service, including access via Disney MaxPass, will not initially be offered at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

This is what we do know about Galaxy’s Edge inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios:

Capacity for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and its experiences is limited. Access to the park, land and experiences may be restricted or unavailable depending on guest demand and other factors. Park tickets, Annual Passes, vacation packages and Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stays do not guarantee access to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Disney FastPass+ service is unavailable for the attractions in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will not be available at the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and will open later this year.

A reservation will not be offered or required to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Valid theme park admission is required to visit the land after its opening on August 29. Capacity is limited. Additionally, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be open during Extra Magic Hours, along with select Disney’s Hollywood Studios attractions, for Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

Height requirements: At Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Guests must be 38″ (97 cm) or taller. Once it opens, the height requirement for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, will be 40″ (102 cm) or taller.
