We woke up to another gorgeously warm day today- a bit earlier than the past 2 days. Today we have a late breakfast inside Be Our Guest and plan to spend the day inside Magic Kingdom.
I was the first one up and ready early, so I headed down to the lounge to grab “a little something” to snack on while I waited for everyone else.
Once everyone was up and ready to roll we walked over to our monorail stop and head for our magical day!
Even after stopping for pictures, we were too early to check into our reservation, so we headed over to Under the Sea- Journey of the Little Mermaid. The detail in the standby queue is incredible!
The attraction itself, never disappoints!
We were ready to check into our breakfast reservation now and were handed a yellow rose vs a red rode- we assume because we had already pre-ordered our breakfast before we even left home (an option here you can do for breakfast and lunch that should speed up your time). We confirmed our order once we were inside, but it took us some time to find a table that would fit all 5 of us. It was very busy and there was plenty of seating for 4 and 2, but larger parties- not so many available or clean. So we asked a cast member to help and she actually found us a beautiful table by the fireplace inside the West Wing- the 1 dining room we hadn’t eaten in before!
We even caught the Master’s portrait change with the thunder a few times too…
Breakfast was delicious! Katie had a Croissant Doughnut topped with a banana sauce while Mikey played it safe with the french toast from the kids menu. Mike, Jacqueline and I all had the Feast A La Gaston which is Scrambled Eggs, Herb-Roasted Potatoes, Apple Smoked Bacon, and Sausage served with Fresh Fruit. Fresh pastries for the table and Mike and I tried the included mimosas as well.
The entire restaurant is just gorgeous decorated for the holidays- we even found Angelique on top of the tree in the ballroom!
After breakfast, we headed to our first Fast Pass of the day- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh:
After Pooh we headed to Philharmagic before our next Fast Pass…
onto our Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Fast Pass!
Our next Fast Pass was at the Haunted Mansion, one of my all time favorites!
Next we were able to catch a showing of “The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History”:
Now we were getting a tad hungry..
Now, we still had time until our next Fast Pass, so we wandered through the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
Now it was on to our Fast Pass for Splash Mountain!
Then it was time for our Fast Pass for Big Thunder Mountain- another Family favorite!
Now we had some time, so we visited the Country Bears…
then Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room…
and finally our last Fast Pass at Pirates of the Caribbean.
If you lost count- that’s 12 attractions today PLUS breakfast and a snack. For reference, we entered the park at about 9:20am and left at 4:30pm. Now keep in mind- because we were staying in The Grand Floridian Resort’s Concierge Level- we were given the opportunity to purchase 3 additional Fast Passes during our stay. This new option requires a three-day minimum ($150 + tax per person for 3 days) and you can only purchase one Fastpass+ per ride (without tier restrictions), but will be able to use Fast Passes in more than one park per day, as well as book Fast Passes 90 days in advance of your check out date, as opposed to the traditional 60 days in advance of your check in date for resort guests (30 days for offsite guests). AKA- this is how we had this many Fast Passes and were able to accomplish so much in a figuratively short amount of time- especially considering we were visiting on a very high attendance park day.
From here the girls and I had to hurry back to The Grand, we had a 5 o’clock appointment at Ivy Trellis to get our hair done before our 6pm dinner reservation at Narcoossee’s… and “tut tut, it looks like rain!” Stay tuned!
