Our flight landed a bit before 10am on January 2nd and we were walking into the Grand Floridian’s lobby by 11:15am, arriving via Disney’s Magical Express.It’s just gorgeous all decorated for the holidays!
We were quickly escorted to the Sugar Loaf building and we made ourselves comfortable in the lounge as we were checked in. There were mid-day offerings available for us to enjoy, that basically mimicked what we were used to seeing inside the Main Building’s Royal Palm Club Lounge:
After a few snacks, we decided we were still far too hungry and walked right next door to Gasparilla’s Grill for some lunch, which is our typical routine. Our room wasn’t quite ready anyway and we already had a long day! After lunch we strolled back into the main building and over to the bus station, headed to Animal Kingdom theme park for our first Fast Passes of the day.
