The Best Christmas Gift Yet, A Trip Report- Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land

We arrived at Hollywood Studios around 12noon and immediately decided to take some more family pictures!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how Hollywood Studios decorates for the holidays!

After admiring the decor, we headed straight for our Fast Passes in Toy Story Land. Now keep in mind- because we were staying in The Grand Floridian Resort’s Concierge Level- we were given the opportunity to purchase 3 additional Fast Passes during our stay. This new option requires a three-day minimum ($150 + tax per person for 3 days) and you can only purchase one Fastpass+ per ride (without tier restrictions), but will be able to use FastPasses in more than one park per day, as well as book FastPasses 90 days in advance of your check out date, as opposed to the traditional 60 days in advance of your check in date for resort guests (30 days for offsite guests).  AKA- this is how we had Fast Passes for all THREE attractions in Toy Story Land.

Our first Fast Pass was at Alien Swirling Saucers- which conveniently had a PhotoPass Photographer nearby for even more family pictures!

Fun fact: you can get a pretty decent view of Galaxy’s Edge from this area of the park!

I just can’t get over the attention to detail here….

Now, on to the ride!

It was so much fun! We were expecting it to be most like Disney’s California Adventure’s  Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree. It’s pretty similar, but it didn’t feel as sharp as that attraction. It was really, really cute and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Next up was Slinky Dog Dash.

Not gonna lie- it was unanimous, we LOVE this ride and is hands down MY favorite Walt Disney World attraction! It is just enough cute mixed with thrill and the best theming as I am a sucker for vintage toys.

Now we were getting hungry but we have a late lunch reservation later in the day. We checked out the app and decided to mobile order at Woody’s Lunch Box…

We decided on a Holiday Cinnamon Cran-Apple Lunch Box Tart, a Chocolate-Hazelnut Lunch Box Tart, 2 Ice Cream Floats with Barq’s® Root Beer, and 2 sodas. The tarts were so much larger than we expected and they were delicious. The only problem we truly had was the lack of seating here- plenty of tables but actual chairs were in short supply on crowded days (and this was January 3rd- so it was absolutely crowded!).

Next we headed to Toy Story Mania for our third Fast Pass of the day before 2pm.

Walking out of Toy Story Mania you wind through an area filled with scenes Andy must have set up- so much fun!

We wandered back through Toy Story Land we even met a Green Solider.

Now we decided to make our way to Sci Fi for our late lunch/early dinner- taking our time as it was crowded…
