It is a pretty quick transfer from Animal Kingdom to Epcot via the buses- we left the park at about 4:30 and were walking into Epcot by 5pm. Not too shabby!
We took a few family pictures as well…
On the bus to Epcot my daughter reserved our family Fast Passes to Journey Into Imagination at 5:30pm via the My Disney Experience App- since we used all 3 of our “typical” Fast Passes we had this ability even though we still had 3 to use tonight.
By the time we were done visiting Figment, it was time to Soar…
Now we decided to mobile order our dinner. In Epcot you have 2 choices- Electric Umbrella and Liberty Inn. We chose Liberty Inn since we had the time to make the stroll around World Showcase before our Test Track Fast Pass.
We took a quick stroll through World Showcase to arrive on time to Test Track… which was down.
We were given the option to use the Fast Pass for anything else other than Illuminations or Frozen or we could hold on to it for later in the night because it would be valid until the park closed (now it was nearly 8pm, park was closing at 9pm). Mike took our younger kids to Mission Space while Jacqueline and I headed over to the Mexican Pavilion…
Once we walked out- we saw the line forming for the Illuminations Fast Pass holders, so we jumped on and messaged the others to meet us there. This line seemed unusually long- not sure if it was due to the high crowds, Illuminations is retiring the end of this summer, or a combination of both. Once inside the roped off area, we secured our little spot of pavement, the rest of our family arrived, and we waited…
After Illuminations was over we headed to exit via the International Gateway (FAR less crowded this way). We strolled over to the Beach Club, took some time to look around, and hopped in a taxi for $15 back to the Grand Floridan by 9:45pm!
