Pirates of the Caribbean closed on Apr. 28 and will reopen May 1, 2014
Tomorrowland Transit Authority – Peoplemover will close June 2 and will reopen August 4, 2014
Astro Orbiter will close June 2 and will reopen September 19, 2014
Liberty Belle Riverboat will close August 4 – 8, 2014
Carousel of Progress will close August 25 – September 4, 2014
In Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park:
Festival of the Lion King closed January 6th and it has not been announced when it will reopen.
Mr. Kamal’s (kiosk restaurant) will reopen on May 10th after closing on April 28th.
It’s Tough to be a Bug will close July 7th and reopen on August 11th.
Typhoon Lagoon will close for Annual Refurbishment October 26, 2014 – January 3, 2015
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House‘s roof rehab is scheduled to finish on May 3.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa‘s Garden View Tea Room will close June 30 – Aug. 29, 2014. Perfectly Princess Tea Party will take place at Cítricos.
Disney’s Polynesian Resort is undergoing major construction as well as an addition to include Disney Vacation Club Villas. Through March 2015, The east portion of the beach (near the Transportation and Ticket Center) and Sunset Point are being refurbished and are unavailable. Guests may see or hear work in progress. The Never Land Club is schedule to reopen in June. Children’s Activity Centers at four other locations are available: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Beach Club Resort and the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. Capt. Cook’s will be relocated to a temporary location in the Great Ceremonial House with modified operating hours and menu items through July. This month we found it in the corner of the first floor in back~ it is much smaller and away from pool. Great Ceremonial House – Lobby being reimagined to highlight the cultural elements of Polynesia and provide more expansive views. At certain times of day, there may be some noise and alternative paths of travel may be needed throughout the Great Ceremonial House. To enhance the check-in experience, Guests are encouraged to participate in Online Check-In. Castle Dreams Travel agents overheard Cast Members saying telling other Cast Members that boats at the Poly marina were going be moved or taken away for a while during construction as well.
