So, you have your resort reserved with a Disney Dining Plan. Now you have to choose where you would like to spend your meal credits! I asked Castle Dreams Travel agents which were their favorite places to grab a quick bite while visiting Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom…
Overwhelmingly, almost every agent suggested trying Be Our Guest for breakfast or lunch (which you can make reservations for, it only counts towards your quick service meal credits). Agents and guests love Be Our Guest’s ambiance and their unique menu (try the great warm turkey sandwich or the braised pork for lunch!). Please don’t forget to try the Grey Stuff for dessert!
Next up was Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square for its two levels of seating and great menu (I LOVED my salad that I had for lunch there with chicken and the cobbler for dessert was devine!) which is chicken and fish centric.
Tied for second was Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe. The portions here are HUGE- so if you are trying to conserve credits, some meals can easily feed 2 people (the chicken and rib combo can feed the whole family!). Lots of variety with their menu, a fixings bar, and entertainment with Sonny Eclipse singing for the crowd (children LOVE this!) makes this a great option for families and hungry adults.
Casey’s Cornor also received high praise as well. It has a great location (right at the top of Main Street, facing Cinderella Castle), a piano player for entertainment, and world famous corn dog nuggets!
Agents also liked Pecos Bills for their burgers and fixings bar. That said, Pecos Bills just debuted a new menu that is more Tex Mex than burgers.
Main Street Bakery and Pinocchio’s Village Haus get honorable mentions. Main Street Bakery is a great spot to pick up a quick snack credit breakfast in the morning with your Starbucks coffee. Pinocchio’s has a delicious pizza with balsamic glaze and their Caesar salad is delicious!
